Ruby River~ 41cfs below the dam near Alder.

Firstly, as of this posting (2/22/13) all of Southwestern Montana’s snow pack numbers are looking great. Most drainages are at 100% or above average.

  • The Ruby has been fishing good below the dam, further down near Sheridan it’s iced up.
  • Small Pheasant tails Hare’s Ear’s and Princes sizes #16 and 18’s in tandem with an egg or San Juan worm.
  • Fish are eating midges in the softer water in the afternoon fairly regularly here, so the Griffith’s gnat , beadhead Zebra midge dropper
  • Again, watch out for redd’s and stay clear !
